Kadachakka Masala Curry


Ingredients needed for the Kadachakka Masala 
Curry
1/2 kilo kada chakka peeled and then cut into pieces
2 tsp chilli powder
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 cup grated coconut
8 shallots / small onions
6 garlic flakes
salt to taste
1/4 tsp saunf

For seasoning
coconut oil as needed
a few small onions chopped
curry leaves

How to prepare Kadachakka Masala Curry
Put kadachakka pieces in to a vessel along with chilli powder, coriandr powder, turmeric powder. Cook till tender.
 heat a little oil in a fry pan, fry saunf, snmal onion, garlic flakes and coconut to a golden colour. remove, cool and then grind to a smooth paste.
 Add the ground masala paste to the cooked vegetables  and salt to taste. Cook till the masalas and the cocconut paste blend well. Simmer for about 8- 10 minutes. Add water according to your taste and the consistency you need.
Heat a little oil, fry chopped onions and curry leacves , pour over the curry. Serve hot with Rotis and plain rice.
